Due to an Administrative change Canadian Water Technologies is looking for a person to be involved with the Documentation, Internal Audits, and Reporting for the ISO Quality System and the HSE (COR) program. This person will also provide support for Just-In-Time Purchasing.
A person in this position will have the opportunity to multi-task and participate in the following.
ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 13485 Quality Systems:
•Implement quality management strategies and plans, •Maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products. •Maintain systems to measure performance against established standards. •Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate, advise, assist according to performance levels. •Monitor and integrate external standards within the quality management systems. •Monitor and provide required project documentation with project managers per policies and procedures. •Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments. •Assist with the planning and management of quality activities •Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally) and on performance against standards. •Liaise and co-operate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g., Registrar, Health Canada, other government departments, HSE, etc) •Manage performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards. •Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacting/affected by quality issues) •Contribute to executive policy and strategy •Manage the training of employees on the specific standards
Health and Safety (COR):
•Implementation and maintenance of suitable and current health and safety policies, safe work practices and risk assessments. •Employee awareness of a relevant Health and Safety Policy. •Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. •Assist in maintain a safe manufacturing facility, machinery and warehouse •Timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments. •Assist with the provision of emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment. •Manage incident reporting to management and as necessary to WCB, AB OHS, etc. •Conducting internal COR audits and taking remedial actions as a result of the findings. •Prevention against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks •Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems •Maintenance of the HSE (COR) certified system •Manage the training of employees on the Safety Management System
•Assist Project Managers with purchasing materials by confirming price and availability •Evaluate and determine best shipping method for purchases •Once purchases are approved assist in submitting purchase orders •Confirm receipt of purchase orders and delivery times •Monitor costs and make recommendations on Suppliers •Report on Suppliers Performance

The CWT Wage:
•Hourly wage - Negotiable - $24+ / Hour •Hours of Work - Thirty-Five (35) hours per week, subject to review at three (3) months
